I planned this shot for several months. I had to wait until the right time of the year for the sun to set behind the lighthouse, and I had to wait for the tide to be low so I could walk out to Sakonnet point. The only downside to getting this shot was the wind, it was very gusty, making it difficult to get a sharp image with the long lens.
